Networking Update 3.5.5


Fixes:

  • Fixed the problem where the levels wouldn't be destroyed on entering  the main menu.

Changes:

  • Added a seed button in the main menu where you can pick what seed your level generates as.

Game Breaking Bugs:

  • New level generation does not sync, I haven't configured the seed generation in the build yet (only in the editor), so a new level will generate for both players when a new player joins.
  • Respawn system is not implemented yet so when you respawn you might get spawned inside of some wall or floor.
  • Accidentally removed the object that syncs player movement  --  Oopsie
  • Player movement is still not synced, I have no idea why at the moment.....
  • When you leave a game and load back into the main menu, your last played level is still loaded, so if you click generate again, it will just generate a new freaking map on top of the one already generated so you get dual map action... theoretically you could generate an infinite number of maps into that one map (iterations)  --  Fixed    :)

Pending:

  • Line rendering syncing (hopefully)    ---   or  ---  Some kind of muzzle flash system
  • Network sync gun rotation (again)
  • Respawn on a generated respawn point.
  • Probably going to implement a battlefield-like spawning system where you can click on spawn points to spawn on.
  • Rate of fire implementation
  • Optimize networked particles
  • Fix player syncing.
  • Fix level not getting destroyed.  --  Fixed  :)
